Name:
Dan Gebhardt, 6 years employment at Top Gun

Job Title / Job Duties:
Inventory Control Manager

What do you like about working at Top Gun:
I really like all the people I work with and some of the customers as well. Also the opportunity that Joe and Stan gave me to work here full-time. Plus moving me from sales to my administrative position and working with computers, which I really enjoy.

How long have you been involved with firearms:
Casual shooting, competition shooting, CCW permit and working with the inventory, I am responsible for all guns coming and going. As well as the rest of the merchandise that comes thru our doors. I thrive on that responsibility.

Do you shoot competitively:
Yes, but not as much as I used to, other commitments take up more time.

Outside activities:
Other than shooting, I love to ride my bicycle and work out to keep in shape, plus I enjoy it. I also re-load my own ammo. One other thing I like to play Sony Play Station - NHL Hockey game.

Recommendations or comments for our customers:

  • Enjoy yourself
  • Be as safe as you can be with a firearm, safety for you, as well as others is our primary concern at Top Gun
  • Have respect for your fellow shooters and the buying public, as well as your sales people, and they will respect you

What else would you like to let people know:
Married to Lisa the most and beautiful woman in the world, for the past 26 years. We have three beautiful and smart daughters, Courtny, Heather and Erin. Our three dogs - Chance, Koko and Roxy and our three cats - Gypsy, Sassy and Ozzie, that's about it, I lead a pretty boring life style.

Sadly, Zach is no longer with Top Gun and has moved on to a full time position with the Army Reserve in Utah, as of the end of November 2012

Name:
Zachary Trostel, 3 years employment at Top Gun

Job Title / Job Duties:
Range Manager - If it has to do with the range I can do it. Whether it be maintenance on the range, gun cleaning, working with or helping customers, I do it all. Pretty much any range duties I am responsible for it getting done. Its allot to do, but we have a great staff to get it done, which makes my job allot easier than it sounds.

What do you like about working at Top Gun:
What I like the most is that moment when a customer finally figures it out. Whether it be when a customer realizes and are able to correct a shooting problem, or what type of firearm they want to buy or just plain old finding out that they found a new hobby that they enjoy. It's the best.

How long have you been involved with firearms:
Since I can remember, my family has always been into hunting and such. Since I joined the Army, I became interested in the tactical side of the sport. Guns have always been a part of my life.

Do you shoot competitively:
Yes, I do currently. I shoot USPSA in the Revolver Class, but I'm looking at getting into 3 gun as well.

Outside activities:
Shooting and competing when possible, but I also love fishing and spending time with my wife and family.

Recommendations or comments for our customers:
Don't be afraid to ask questions. I still ask for pointers and tips from other shooters. No matter what your experience level is there is always room to improve.
